In March 2014, NPH gave birth to the International Women's Day Gala in celebration of the women in our community.  Our humble beginnings started off with a little over 35 people in attendance. Ever year this initiative has blossomed into a annual rendezvous in our community with close to 250 attendees and counting.

We have now honored over 100 Haitian and Haitian-American women, or fanm vanyan's  as we call them in our Haitian culture. These women stemming  from all walks of life,  young and old. From the women with fulfilling degrees or professions, to women with little schooling, our madan sara's who sacrificed and worked tirelessly to raise families with successful backgrounds. We take pride in honoring their contributions to our communities here in the diaspora and in Haiti.
