Nehemiah Project For Hope
To serve, educate and empower families and individuals affected by poverty in Haiti and throughout the Haitian diaspora in the Greater Boston area of Massachusetts.
The Nehemiah Project for Hope is dedicated to serving the needs of the Haitian people whether in Haiti or the US specially in Massachusetts in the greater Boston area.
Our Mission
Our Vision
The Nehemiah Project for Hope (NPH) is designed to create community awareness about the conditions in certain areas of Haiti. Our organization's primary goal is to alleviate the suffering, poverty and confusion that is afflicting some of the citizens of Haitian descent living in Massachusetts and Haiti alike, by creating the highest quality of advocacy and services. We also guide them in building secure, productive and educated communities that are tailored for individuals of all ages with a focus on women, children, elderly and the physically challenged. We envision a world that values and engages our young people in the decision making of what concerns them and others in their community whether in Haiti or in other parts of the US.
About
Our Organization
The Nehemiah Project for Hope (NPH), is founded by a group of concerned Haitians from different social backgrounds who have joined forces to unite their voices in the Haitian community both in the U.S and in Haiti.
Haitian Youth Connection is under the NPH umbrella and is dedicated to helping youth from Haiti and the Diaspora connect to discuss critical issues pertaining to Haitians living in Haiti and the diaspora. It unites the young and the old, by supporting the Art, History and Culture of our Nation. It provides a platform to give Haitians and people of Haitian descent the tools to share their history, and culture differences with others.
Our Work
NPH provides assistance to improve the quality of life for people affected by poverty and disaster and extreme lack of resources. To sustain these goals, we offer community resources that offer a wide range of services to families and individuals both in Haiti and the greater diaspora. We believe in providing the resources necessary to obtain food, medical care, education as well as safe and affordable housing in order to improve and sustain their life and give them a brighter future.
The results of our efforts should equate to: the mentally and physically challenged will have a better chance; women and children will have a better rate of survival; the younger generation will have a greater opportunity to be educated and live with dignity and self-respect; the sick and the elderly will have the chance to be well-cared for with love and compassion.
The energies and talents of all of us are needed to meet these challenges in the battles against illiteracy, hunger and numerous diseases.
Our core desire is to feed the hungry, heal the sick and educate the community. We believe by providing the resources necessary to obtain food, medical care, access to education as well as safe and affordable housing, it will help to improve and sustain life and give them a brighter future. But we cannot do it alone.
Let us begin to be the change we wish to see in our community.
This is an opportunity for the new generation of Haitians to reach out to those suffering in the diaspora and our homeland that need us the most: the children, elders, and the physically and mentally disabled, through sponsorship and the support of our community.
We create community awareness through our various programs about conditions in our community, with a primary goal to alleviate suffering, poverty, and confusion among Haitian citizens. We help build secure, productive, and educated communities; tailored for individuals of all ages, but with a focus on women, children, elderly and the physically disabled.
